Honda Siel Cars Sales Registers 38 percent growth in June '05

Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. (HSCI), the leading manufacturer of premium and luxury cars in the Indian automobile industry, recorded an impressive jump in sales volume during the month of June 2005, recording a 38% growth. The company sold 3,826 units during the month as against 2,772 units sold during the same month of the previous financial year.

The cumulative sales for the calendar year 2005 (January-June), jumped to 21,604 units as against 16,738 units during January-June 2004. In terms of percentage, the company registered a healthy growth of 29%, as compared with cumulative sales during the corresponding period in the previous calendar year.

Meanwhile, during the calendar year 2005, (Jan-June), all three models from HSCI have continued to show an upward movement with Honda City recording a growth rate of 31%, Honda Accord at 6% and Honda CR-V with 49%.
